Hapag-Lloyd increases rates to East Asia

IN ANOTHER wave of freight rate increases from carriers, Hapag-Lloyd has announced it will increase rates by US$125 per teu on all containerised cargoes from Europe & North Europe, East & West Mediterranean and Black Sea to East Asia (including Japan), effective from April 1.

The carrier will also increase rates on all cargoes from the Indian Sub Continent to North Europe and the Mediterranean by $200 per teu.
