NOL's volumes are on the up

NEPTUNE Orient Lines (NOL) saw a significant increase in shipping volumes in the first six weeks of 2010, as container volumes increased 63% on the same period last year.

Average revenue per feu declined by 9%, an improvement on the previous six weeks which saw a decline of 25% on 2008 levels.

This was primarily due to increased freight rates on key trade lanes and an emergency revenue charge on the transpacific.
